TEAM SASQUATCH
Our mission is to promote youth development, confidence, leadership, health, and public stewardship through mountain biking. With an emphasis on positive and fun outdoor experiences we hope to create a foundation for lifelong cycling enjoyment. ISSAQUAH MTB is made up of student athletes from the Issaquah School District, parent volunteers, and dedicated volunteer coaches.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Issaquah MTB is dedicated to providing a positive, safe, and fun experience for middle and high school age kids wanting to experience mountain biking in the Great PNW! We are affiliated with the Washington Student Cycling League (WSCL). Our Season runs from February-June with 5 optional WSCL races held throughout the region. A shorter fall season with 2 races takes place from August-October. We practice 1-3 days/week (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) depending on daylight. WSCL races are always held on weekends. In addition to these WSCL races our riders use the practices and races to increase their skill and strength for racing enduro, cyclocross, and other disciplines as well.
Who Are We?
Our team is open to students in grades 6-12. Our riders geographically come from the Issaquah School District area (with exceptions). We welcome riders of all skill levels from beginners to advanced.
Get Involved!
We need volunteers to help make this team work! We are looking for coaches, ride along parents, group sweeps, and volunteers to help coordinate race days, feed the racers, help at events, do website work, and more. Parent volunteers are at the heart of our team. You don't need to be a mountain biker to volunteer but if you want to ride with us we can help you with that too!
